Description
Each spring, usually in early May or sometimes late April, the cricket club in Corsham is surrounded by cherry blossom trees in full bloom. As the petals fall, the town is covered in a pink confetti that drifts far and wide. An old stone wall runs along the back of the cricket ground, opposite The Almshouses, up to the top of Pound Pill and the gates that begin the School Run series. This painting captures that scene.
Original oil painting on 16” × 20” canvas board, framed with a white slip frame. Now £350 (was £500).
Giclee prints available on A3 paper.
